Download the Client Utility from the Help Desk Toolkit website
Run the setup.exe
Click
Next
to continue the install.
Click
Yes
if you accept the license agreement.
It will now ask for the
SSID
. Enter the
SSID
that was given to you in all lowercase.
Click
Next
, and then highlight
infrastructure
, and hit
Next.
Accept the
default installation location
, and click
Next.
Click the
Finish
key to reboot the computer.
When the computer is done restarting it will say that there is no adapter found.
Click
OK
and then insert the D-Link card into the PCMCIA slot.
The Compputer will now detect the card, and install drivers.
If the Configuration utility comes up and says it is going to update your Firmware, click
OK
Click
OK
when it is done.
There should now be a new Icon in the system tray called
Instant Wireless Configuration Utility
; click on it.
Click the
Configuration Tab
Make sure the
Wireless Mode is Infrastructure
Enter the
SSID
given you under
Service Set Identifer
Click on the
Encryption
Tab
Under Encryption (WEP), change it to
64 Bits
Make sure
Manual Entry
is checked.
Enter the WEP key given to you under
Key 1
Click
Apply changes
then click
OK
