Download the Cisco Client Utitily file
Insert the Cisco Card while computer is
turned on
.
The
Add new hardware wizard
will come up, Click
Next
to continue.
Make sure
Search for Best recommended device
is checked, and Click
Next
.
Check the
Specify a Location box
and
Browse to downloaded file
under Drivers/Win98200SE then Click
Ok
.
Click
Next
to Search.
Click
Next
when the Drivers are found, and then
Finish
when they are done.
Click on the
Installer
icon.
Click on
Next
to begin the install.
On the next screen De-select everything that is marked, and click
Next.
Click
Next
to select the Default Directory.
Click
Next
to Select the default Startup Folder.
Click on Finish to complete the install.
To start the Client Utility:
Click on
Start
Click on
Programs
Click on
Cisco Systems : Aironet Client Utility (ACU)
From the
Start Menu
:
Select
Cisco Systems
Select
Aironet Client Utility (ACU)
.
Select
Commands
Select
Edit
Select
Properties.
Click on
Profile Manager
.
Click on
Add
.
Enter
ISU
in the Box .
Click
Ok
.
Under
Client name
type your ISU
username
.
Under
SSID1
: Enter the
SSID
you were given .
Power Save Mode
:
Constantly Awake Mode
.
Network Type
:
Infrastructure
.
Select the
Network Security
tab and set the following values:
WEP:
Use Static WEP keys
.
WEP key enter method:
Hexadecimal
.
Access Point Authentication
:
Open Authentication
.
WEP Key 1:
Enter the
WEP
key you were given.
Click on
OK
to save these changes.
Click on
Apply
to exit the WEP Key Write Complete screen.
Click on
OK
to save and exit.
Select
Commands
Select
Exit
to exit the
Aironet Client Utility
.
