Firefox 1.0.7 Installation

Install Firefox

Click on the Toolkit Web Browsers button
Click on the Install Firefox button

The Firefox installer will begin.

The Firefox Setup - Welcome window will open.
Click Next.

The Firefox Setup - Software License Agreement window will open.
Click Accept to accept the license agreement.
Click Next.

Firefox-install-03 (15K)

The Firefox Setup - Setup Type window will open.
You may select Standard, or Custom setup.
- The Help Desk recommends that you choose the default settings for this window.
Click Next.

Firefox-install-04 (14K)

The Firefox Setup - Summary window will appear.
Click Next to continue.

Firefox-install-05 (10K)

The Firefox Setup - Installing window will open.
The Install Progress bar will run from left to right.

Firefox-install-06 (28K)

The Firefox Setup - Install Complete window will open.
Leaving the Launch Mozilla Firefox 1.0.7 now option checked is recommended.
Click Finish to complete the installation.

Running Firefox for the first time.

The first time you run Firefox it will open the Import Wizard.
- If not it can be accessed by selecting File ==> Import.
If you have a pre-existing settings from Netscape, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Phoenix or an older Firefox version, you select the corresponding bullet.
Click Next to continue.
The settings for each of the import options are following;

Import settings from Firefox 0.8, Firebird, or Phoenix

Select Firefox 0.8, Firebird, or Phoenix.
Click Next to continue.

The Firefox Setup - Importing... window will open.
Please wait while it imports the necessary files.

The Firefox Setup - Import Complete window will open.
Click Finish to complete.

Import settings from Microsoft Internet Explorer

The Firefox Setup - Import Wizard window will open.
Select Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Click Next to continue.

The Firefox Setup - Items to Import window will open.
Select the items that you wish to import.
- The Help Desk recommends that you choose the default settings for this window.
Click Next to continue.

The Firefox Setup - Import Complete window will open.
Click Finish to complete.

Import settings from Netscape 6.x, 7.x, or Mozilla 1.x

Select Netscape 6, 7 or Mozilla 1.x
Click Next to continue.
